The CrossFit training methodology involves constantly varied functional movements at a high intensity. These functional movements are stemmed from the same movements that happen in everyday life while also reflecting aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, plyometrics, running, rowing, and more.
Youth Development Training
The focus is on improving student athletes’ (6th-8th grade) potential while reducing the risk of injury in a competitive and safe training environment. This is accomplished by creating an athletic foundation through functional movement by increasing strength, power, endurance, speed, and conditioning to prepare them for their upcoming season. Training goals for this session will introduce “resistance training” including Barbell/Dumbbell and Trap Bar movements such as the Bench, Squat and Deadlifts.
