As dedicated parents to three busy children, Aaron and Susan Stott bring a family-oriented and community-based approach to HG Athletics. Their personal wellness journey ignited a passion for sharing the importance of fitness and an active lifestyle, which they believe are essential for living a well-rounded and healthy life.
Aaron, a Certified Functional Strength Coach Level 1 (CFSC), is dedicated to creating a supportive environment at HG Athletics where individuals of all ages and fitness levels can thrive. His expertise in functional fitness and passion for inspiring others make him a driving force behind the gym’s commitment to empowering the Glen Ellyn community.
Susan, a local preschool teacher and library board member, complements Aaron’s vision with her strong ties to the community and her dedication to fostering a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Together, Aaron and Susan aim to inspire not just their own family but also the broader Glen Ellyn community to embrace health and wellness as a way of life.
When they’re not at HG Athletics, Aaron and Susan enjoy spending quality time with their family—sailing in Chicago, biking with their kids, or running around with their dog. Their mission is to empower individuals and families to prioritize fitness, build confidence, and lead healthier, happier lives.
Bill Lund - Strength and Conditioning Coach
Bill Lund, a highly accomplished strength and conditioning coach with over 25 years of experience, recently joined HG Athletics to bring his unparalleled expertise and passion for empowering athletes and individuals alike. Bill’s journey into fitness coaching began during his early career as a collegiate football coach, where he developed a deep understanding of performance enhancement, injury prevention, and athlete development.
Having coached at prestigious institutions like Columbia University, the University of Buffalo (MAC Champions), and Saginaw Valley State University, Bill has worked with athletes across all levels, from middle school to Division 1. His dedication to results-driven coaching and individualized training programs makes him a trusted resource for athletes striving to elevate their performance and individuals seeking improved health and fitness.

TYLER SMITh - Strength and Conditioning Coach
Tyler Smith brings a unique blend of military excellence and professional strength coaching to HG Athletics. A former U.S. Marine, Tyler earned his place in the elite Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC) through rigorous selection and training, demonstrating unmatched resilience, discipline, and leadership. During his military career, Tyler not only maintained peak physical performance but also led and programmed physical training for his fellow Marines, ensuring they were mission-ready.
As a certified personal trainer, Tyler has years of hands-on experience designing personalized training programs for individuals and groups, focusing on strength development, performance enhancement, and injury prevention. His extensive knowledge, combined with a commitment to proper technique and safety, ensures clients build a solid foundation and achieve sustainable results.
In addition to his work at HG Athletics, Tyler is actively pursuing his EMT and firefighter certifications, further showcasing his commitment to service, community, and continuous personal growth.
Tyler continuously advances his expertise in sports science and fitness, staying at the forefront of innovative training techniques. He is dedicated to helping clients of all fitness levels—from beginners to advanced athletes—reach their potential in a supportive, results-driven environment.
When he’s not coaching, Tyler enjoys staying active and taking on new challenges. His mission at HG Athletics is to inspire individuals to embrace fitness as a cornerstone of a healthier, more confident lifestyle.
Kevin Pendleton - CrossFit Coach
Spencer Griffith -CrossFit Coach
Spencer discovered CrossFit in 2020 and immediately fell in love with the community, the variety of movements, and the constant opportunity to learn new skills. His passion for fitness and personal growth led him to become a coach, where he now shares his experiences to help others develop as athletes and reach their full potential.
Spencer thrives in a community that pushes its members to be their best—both inside and outside the gym. He believes in embracing the journey, celebrating progress, and tackling challenges head-on.
